Family Law is a complex area of the law that is ruled primarily by the California Family Law codes and case law.  Do not use an attorney who does not practice Family Law on a regular basis.   We have seen far too many cases that could have been resolved quickly and efficiently, but were not, because the attorneys handling the cases were not familiar with Family Law.
